History of the Song

"There were several experiences growing up that inspired this song.  First, I struggled with great mental anguish from anxiety and a manic bi-polarity disorder. Having not been diagnosed until later in life and not knowing my condition was biological, I dealt with my issues the only way I knew how, which was to call on God's help.   Also, as a member of the Pentecostal church, I witnessed mostly middle class peoples around me, as was my family, struggle with financial hardships and other difficulties, only to see God intervene and comfort time and over again.

I wrote "He'll Do It Again" as a testimony to my own deep confidence in God's committed care for those of us who love Him.

"He'll Do It Again", now sung in churches internationally, was written while I was attending Oral Roberts University in the mid 80's.   It was originally released on the Richard Roberts television show and powerfully performed by Margaret Bell-Byars and The ORU Singers.

Since then, it has been most popularly recorded by Shirley Caesar,  in 1989 on her album, I REMEMBER MAMA.  Also, southern gospel powerhouse, Karen Wheaton, released it in 2008 on her album, LIVE IN THE SPIRIT".
